ROLL CALL of Women Who Enlisted in Western Australia
compiled
by Joan (Pianta) Sheridan and published in 1988, is a monument to
all
Western Australian
WAAAF as it acknowledges the importance of each girl
in her WWII role,
by including her in this permanent record that is kept in
major libraries throughout Australia as well as in the Imperial War Museum,
London.
The book gives two lists with 99.9% accuracy: one with surname in
alphabetical
order
with married name where known, service number and
mustering;
the other in numerical order of service number with other
information repeated.
This is the only known complete list of women who enrolled in the WAAAF
from any one State
of Australia |
