GORDON LODGE

Gordon Lodge is a low care facility comprising 50 single rooms with en-suites and a 10 bed low care demenitia wing. The lodge is situated on the banks of Lake Howard in the centre of the retirement village and offers permanent and respite care.

Gordon Lodge provides services from visiting allied health professionals – podiatrist, onsite physiotherapist and occupational therapy teams.  A hairdresser service operates from within the lodge  4 days a week and other facilities include a village shop, a well stocked Library, onsite hydrotherapy pool and a large central activities room.  There are also many lounges where Residents can attend activities or enjoy time with their family members or hold specific functions ie. special birthdays for Residents.  


The dementia unit - known as Rose Cottage has it's own lounge overlooking a picturesque lake supporting many varieties of water birds and other wildlife.

The Lodge has an extensive activities programme for all Residents  to participate in as desired and includes cooking, exercise groups, physio chi, quizzes and craft activities. Regular bus trips to places of interest are also organized.

Gordon Lodge is exceptionally fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers who assist with outings and the “pamper parlour.” Regular meetings are held every 6 weeks allowing Residents and Family Members the opportunity to discuss and have input into any aspects of their care or accommodation.

DEAN LODGE

Dean Lodge is a high care facility comprising 28 rooms (some with en suites) accommodating 40 residents on the banks of Lake Howard in the centre of the retirement village.  Nursing and care staff are available to cater for all needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Features of Dean Lodge include visiting allied health professionals, on-site physiotherapist and occupational therapy teams, on-site hairdressing facilities, a large activities room as well as various courtyards.

The Lodge has an extensive 7 day a week activities programme available for all Residents to participate in if desired and includes craft, cooking, quizzes and entertainment to name but a few. Special days such as Valentines Day and St Patricks Day are always celebrated with activities relating to that particular day. Christmas is a particularly busy and productive time of the year for Residents.

The Lodge is extremely fortunate to have many wonderful vounteers who assist with regular bus outings, Happy Hours and “pamper parlour” sessions. Regular meetings are held every 6 weeks giving Residents and Family Members the opportunity to discuss and provide feedback regarding any aspects of their care and accommodation service.

Click to enlarge image.   Dean & Gordon Lodge is ideally located in the centre of the Air Force Memorial Estate Retirement Village.  Included in the Estate facilities is an Aviation Heritage Museum and Club which comprises Restaurant and Bar for members and guests, together with Function Rooms.  There are also 2 newly constructed synthetic bowling greens with safe undercover parking areas.
