Cambrai Village is located in the Northern suburb of Merriwa, 39 kilometres north of Perth and only two kilometres from RAAFA Estate Merriwa. The first residents moved into the village in the year 2000 and Cambrai has maintained full occupancy since then. Its easy to see why.
The village consists of 273 three bedroom single level duplex homes, complete with remote controlled lock up garage and air conditioning among other features. The units are set in spacious grounds and are surrounded by community facilities, including an indoor heated pool, spa, bowling, croquet and putting greens and a licensed Club. In the centre of Cambrai Estate is a two storey, 80 bed, low care residential facility, Vivian Bullwinkel Lodge. Further details on this facility can be found in the Aged Care section on the website.
The village is only 5 kilometres from the ocean, with oceanside marinas and shopping centres close by. The major northern satellite town of Joondalup is only 15 minutes south of the village and provides all the central amenities needed, including a major hospital. Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, just 5 minutes from the village by car is currently under- going major expansion and will have new eateries and shops. Clarkson train station is also only a 5 minute drive from the village and Perth CBD is 30 minutes by train from Clarkson. Then right next door to the village is the Merriwa Shopping centre, only 5 minutes walk at the back of the village

The chapel holds services for Catholic, Anglican and Ecumenical Church congregations. An important feature of village life at Cambrai is the activities organized by the Commemorations Committee, celebrating the important memorial events involving our ex-service men and women.
A great feature of village life at Cambrai is the involvement of volunteers who serve the residents in many different ways from gardening for residents who struggle to keep up in that area to paper collection on rubbish days.
All in all, Cambrai is an open and happy place to live with a good relationship between staff and residents and a caring and supportive environment for residents to enjoy their retirement years.
