The Merriwa RAAFA Estate is a retirement village situated approximately 40 kilometres north of Perth and about 1 kilometre in from the ocean, at the junction of Marmion Avenue and Hughie Edwards Drive. The Estate covers an area of 12 hectares and on the Estate there are 240 self-contained independent living houses of various styles and a 60 Suite Frail Aged Hostel known as Karri Lodge.

Also on the Estate is the Merriwa AFA Club premises which include 3 Lawn Bowling Greens, Outdoor Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Hydrotherapy Heated Pool and a 6 Unit Motel known as Zamia Lodge. The Estate is home to 400+ residents in the three areas of accommodation.  

A range of facilities, over and above those provided by the AFA Club, is provided for residents and Association members, including a chapel, library, outdoor barbecue, welfare office and a bus for transport to and from external activities.
