THE
ROYAL
AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION
Fostering the Spirit of Friendship and Perpetuating the Honour
and Ideals of Her Majesty's Air Forces
The Royal Australian
Air Force Association was originally formed in 1920 as the Australian Flying Corps Association
to foster friendship among the personnel of the Australian Flying
Corp, the RAAF's First World War predecessor.
The AFCA evolved into the Royal
Australian Air Force Association, an organisation which now includes Divisions in
each State and a National Office
in Sydney, New South Wales. The Association exists
to support Australian Defence (particularly Air Defence), Australian Aviation and to look
after serving and ex-servicemen and women, through repatriation and military compensation.
The Association
maintains Welfare Advisors at State and Branch level and has developed Retirement Estates,
Aged Care Services and an Aviation Heritage Museum in Western Australia. |
