HEALTH AND OTHER SERVICES

Doctors are encouraged to visit each RAAFA retirement estate several times a week sometimes daily.
Therapeutic massage, podiatry, physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy are also available. Beauty therapy and hairdressing are also available on the estates twice a week.
With the exception of hydrotherapy, providers of these services will be encouraged to make themselves available at RAAFA Amity Village, and the heated indoor pool will provide the opportunity for aqua aerobics.
Only a few minutes away are more than 20 doctors in six medical practices located in Spencer Park, North Road and Middleton Beach Road.

 

 

 The Albany Regional Hospital is a 120 bed hospital with its own 24 hour accident and emergency department. It is located on the corner of Warden Avenue and Hardie Road, Spencer Park  less than five minutes from RAAFA Amity Village.

A number of medical specialists regularly visit the Hospital including cardiologists and pacemaker technicians, orthopaedic surgeons, endocrinologists, gynaecologists, rheumatologists and urologists. Veterans can be admitted to the Albany Regional Hospital.
