Merriwa RAAFA Estate is a retirement village situated approximately 40 kilometres north of
Perth and about 1 kilometre in from the ocean, at the junction of Marmion Avenue and
Baltimore Parade. The Estate covers an area of 12 hectares and on the Estate there are 234 self-contained independent living houses of various styles, a 40 Suite Frail Aged Hostel known as Karri Lodge and 20 Serviced Apartments known as Banksia Lodge. Also on the Estate is the Merriwa AFA Club premises which include 3 Lawn Bowling Greens, Outdoor Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Hydrotherapy Heated Pool and a 6 Unit Motel known as Zamia Lodge. The Estate is home to 380 residents in the three areas of accommodation. A range of facilities, over and above those provided by the AFA Club, is provided for residents and Association members, including a chapel, library, outdoor barbecue, welfare office and a bus for transport to and from external activities.
