For around 50 years the phrase "MMA" meant aviation in Western Australia.
MacRobertson Miller Airlines became the major airline in Western Australia from the mid 1930s.
In a State of around a million square miles with a thinly spread population
and a poor road and rail network, aviation became a very important form of transport.
People in the outback relied on MMA for quick communication with the city, hospitals
and for spare parts and supplies.
