Norm Waldie brings a diverse career spanning both the defence and corporate sectors. After serving 10 years in the Royal Australian Air Force, he transitioned to a variety of roles in technical and corporate service fields. Norm’s experience includes positions in offshore seismic data collection, wine industry management, and corporate services for both not-for-profit and commercial organisations.

Dr Andrew Dowse is a retired Air Vice-Marshal of the Royal Australian Air Force, who serves on RAAFA’s Board of Directors as Vice President and chair of the veterans and heritage subcommittee. Andrew is a graduate of RMIT in electronic engineering, with a masters degree and PhD from UNSW. His senior roles in the RAAF included leadership of Air Force strategy, joint capability planning, and Defence ICT operations. In recognition of his military service, he was made a member (2011) and then officer (2017) of the Order of Australia. Since retiring from active duty in 2018, he worked at Edith Cowan University on defence research, and then was the first Australian head of RAND Australia. Andrew’s wife Fiona is the former senior ADF officer in Western Australia and current patron of the RAAFA Women’s Association in WA.

Mrs Eternity Hausen brings 20 years of military experience and pioneering mental health expertise to RAAFA’s Board of Directors, where she will also sit on the clinical governance subcommittee. Eternity began her military career at 17, joining the Army Reserves as a trainee truck driver before transitioning to become an intelligence analyst. She currently serves part-time with 13 Brigade in Perth. Her academic background includes studies in politics, international relations and psychology, followed by a Masters in policing, intelligence and counter-terrorism. She is a provisional psychologist currently completing her Masters. After leaving full-time military service in 2020, Eternity established Australia’s first mental health practice offering psychedelic integration therapy for veterans. Her work has included establishing Perth’s first licensed psychedelic clinic and leading clinical trials at Fiona Stanley Hospital testing innovative treatments for PTSD and depression. Most recently, she served as CEO of Accord West. Born in Victoria with Turkish and Greek heritage, Eternity moved to Western Australia three years ago with her husband Alex, a teacher. The couple are expecting their first child and share their home with their beloved 14-year-old Maltese Terrier, Rosie.

Hugh Zimmerman brings over 25 years of professional accounting experience and more than two decades of military service to RAAFA’s Board of Directors. As a partner at Galluccio Griggs in Perth, he specialises in taxation, business advisory and estate planning, with expertise in family businesses and succession planning. His professional work in this space, coupled with his personal experience supporting elderly parents in aged care, gives him unique insight into the aged care industry and RAAFA’s mission. Hugh’s connection to RAAFA began in 2012 when he joined the audit and finance committee. He served as chair of finance and audit before accepting his board appointment in 2025, during which time he contributed to RAAFA’s significant transformation and growth. A former Artillery Officer in the Australian Army Reserve with over 20 years of service, Hugh understands the veteran community that RAAFA proudly supports. Hugh is passionate about aged and community care services, and improving efficiencies through technology and enhanced systems. He holds strong views on governance, ethics and financial accountability, bringing strategic thinking and commercial acumen to his board role. Hugh lives in Perth with his wife Anna and their two adult children, plus two very loved fur family members.

Robert is an experienced financial advisor and has extensive board director experience in the financial, property and construction industry.
