Brett Dowsing was appointed to fill a casual elected Board Member vacancy in February 2021.
Born in WA and raised in that State and Papua New Guinea, Brett joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1969 at fifteen and spent his working career as a seaman officer and helicopter pilot until retirement as Senior Officer WA in January 2020. He served on staff in Australian Embassies in USA and Korea with accreditation also to Mongolia.
Brett is a serving JP, member of a few other NFP Boards and an active member of RSL, Legacy and the Veterans’ Review Board. He holds an MScTech, Grad Dip in Strategic Studies and several Maritime and Aviation Diplomas at various levels.
