RAAFA’s Cirrus Apartments and RAAFA Club at AFME have become finalists in the 2023 National Retirement Living awards in the Best Luxury Retirement Living Development category, sponsored by Tunstall.

For those who haven’t heard of them before, the national awards celebrate high achievement across all parts of the retirement living sector and contain nine categories, and one special award, recognising people and companies doing great work to ensure senior Australians have an enjoyable retirement.

Penny John, AFME Estate Manager, says RAAFA strives for excellence in every area of its operations and the organisation was delighted to have been nominated for the prestigious award. 

“Throughout the entire development and building process for Cirrus Apartments and the RAAFA Club, RAAFA worked closely with our architects, Cameron Chisholm Nicol, to bring about a truly modern approach on how we could best respond to the needs of our current and future retirees,” she says.

“And so we’re genuinely very proud to have been recognised as a finalist in these awards.  We’ve always been focused on responding to the individual needs and choices of our residents, and this seems to have been recognised as a result of us making the finals in this award category.

“And of course, we would like to acknowledge our architects Cameron Chisholm Nicol, and their entire team, for being our partners in this exciting project.”

Both Penny John and Tonia Zeeman, Chief Operating Officer, plan to travel to the Gold Coast for the award ceremony on 22 June.
